Empowering Trauma to Bring Out Resilience

A panel discussion with Lyndal Schultz

When most people fall into the trap of allowing Trauma to create their life experience, others use trauma, even the worst imaginable trauma, to fine-tune their minds and bodies to keep re-creating new strategies and power-plays to outwit that trauma if / when it comes around again.

The human brain has an infinite ability to re-define every memory to strengthen and retrain a person’s capabilities and resourcefulness. Our brains prepare for survival by replaying old memories, giving us multiple opportunities to redesign new escape routes. It’s those imaginings that either deepen and confirm the trauma’s damage OR allow us to replay and create multiple future escape routes.

Panelists will bring their professional and personal insights to building trauma resilience as they un-layering what we do when old trauma memory resurfaces.
